Senior Accountant

Kranos Corporation dba Schutt Sports is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting Team. Schutt Sports is located in Litchfield, Illinois.
As the Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include the following:
  • Cash management of all company bank accounts, including timely reconciliation of all accounts
  • Treasury reporting
  • Analyze and investigate account variances during the monthly close to ensure accuracy of financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly accounting close in accordance with GAAP and corporate policy
  • Complete timely reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts
  • Provide detailed analysis of actual results compared to budget
  • Assist in the on-going review/improvement of internal controls by the Accounting Department
  • Assist in special projects on an as needed basis
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Have the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of personalities
Possess a high degree of credibility and integrity
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
B.S. or B.A. Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, most importantly Excel.
  • A CPA is a plus, but is not required.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
